Has towed kayak powerboat, I have been towed behind pangas in my kayak many times on the east cape of mexico. we would use 6 foot leashes, and could get four kayaks going at once. if we were going to move a long way, like over a mile, we would tie all the boats together with the same 6 foot leashes, and have lunch on the panga while towing the 'yaks.. Tow - advice - paddling., I think you need to re-evaluate the boat you have. if you can't pack the gear you need/want into the boat you currently own; it might be time to consider an upgrade. i don't think the tow behind craft is a good idea at all. creates safety issues, and i think it will quickly become a big hassle. the longer the trip; the bigger the hassle..
